Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2022 at Fairfield

November 1, 2022

Fairfield is proud to renew its Breast Cancer Awareness Month efforts to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation to further its mission to “provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services.” We doubled our goal from 2021, surpassed it with ease, and added a company match component to help associate donations double in value.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Fairfield goes beyond fundraising for a worthy cause. It's about spreading awareness by bringing people together for shared experiences. On October 4, Fairfield hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch to honor those affected by the disease and show our support for the cause while sharing resources from our partners in health. Throughout the month, Fairfield associates responded to the call to “think pink” to show their support of breast cancer awareness. Associates across the nation at our communities and corporate offices showed their support for the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink ribbon lapel pins and pink attire.

Support is Part of Our Culture

It's in our mission of Creating Better Living for Better Lives to be good neighbors to one another, our residents, and the whole world, which is why Fairfield’s culture includes support for initiatives like Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our associates are happy to share this sentiment!

"Sending LOVE, HUGS & HEALING energy to all those impacted!"
- Chris Kiessling, Project Manager at Fairfield

"Supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, honoring the taken and never, ever giving up hope!"
-Jennifer Hyers, Senior Community Manager at Fenwick

For some of our associates, this effort is extremely personal, and they share their motivation with their donations.

"In honor of my mother who is a 10-year breast cancer survivor!"
-Nichole Ward, Assistant Regional Supervisor

"To my loving Grandma who was a Breast Cancer Survivor and who I miss so much, may you continue to rest in peace. Forever in my heart."
-Tiffany Andrews, Leasing Associate at Westchester at the Pavillions
