World Kindness Day

This year, it seems more important than ever to celebrate the little things in order to stay optimistic. Which is why Fairfield Residential was excited to take initiative and celebrate World Kindness Day today, Friday, November 13th.

World Kindness day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, yourself and to the world – something we need more than ever during these trying times. Leading up to World Kindness Day we encouraged our onsite associates to take time off of work by giving each associate up to 4 hours away from work to perform an act of kindness. We wanted to encourage our associates to be creative about how to best spend their time and give back to the people around them and their communities.

Not only did this give our onsite associates time to do something nice for others, but it also allowed them to mix up their daily routines. It’s been tough to stay motivated when days seem to feel redundant, but doing something a little different to help spread kindness and joy can be really uplifting and in turn boost your mood and productivity level.

We loved seeing our teams make an effort to do such wholesome activities. Our associates took the time to donate blood, volunteered at a local food drives, sent care packages out, created arts and crafts with kind messages on them, donated to charities, and more! In fact, we loved it so much, we’ll be extending our act of kindness hours through the end of 2020.
