Head to a wine bar for a bottle of wine and a cheese board instead of a traditional dinner. Or, opt for an interactive tasting instead of a bottle. Don't forget dessert... chocolate pairs just as well with wine as cheese does.
If you’re both beer lovers, the idea of going to your favorite brewery might actually be romantic. Share a flight of tasters together and indulge in whatever food truck happens to be at the brewery. Tasting rooms also often have games, trivia or other interactive activities to add some entertainment.
In most parts of the country it’s still too cold to spend Valentine’s Day outside, but if you live in Southern California or Florida or the weather in your area is playing nice, you could bring a picnic to the beach or a park and watch the sunset for a low key, low stress Valentines Day.
If rom-coms have taught us anything, ice skating with your significant other is always romantic and fun. Lace up your skates, go for a spin, and enjoy some hot chocolate afterwards. Depending on your location, indoor or outdoor options may be available!
Sometimes all you need for a vacation is an excuse, and Valentine’s Day is a pretty good one. Treat your partner to a long weeekend, or even just a night away in your favorite city. Staying in your hometown can be fun too - just staying in a hotel can add some excitement and change up your routine.
